cancer immunology research?

Graduate Students:

An exciting opportunity is available in our laboratory to study the mechanisms of host immune system contribution to the development of cancer and in its progression to metastatic disease. We will be working to uncover the various mechanisms of cancer-induced suppression of the innate and adaptive anti-tumor response, and to identify nodes of intervention that can be translated into novel, clinically feasible treatment modalities. Long-term research objectives of the lab include developing methods of “immune reprogramming” in cancer to elicit an effective anti-tumor response.

We are looking for enthusiastic graduate students! Interested applicants should email to Dr. Yuliya Pylayeva-Gupta at yuliyap1@email.unc.edu
